Performance Management Support Materials
Following on from the nine Performance Management sessions
for Head teachers and Senior Leaders and the six ‘Reviewer Training’
workshops that followed at the beginning of this summer term, a series of
resources have been produced to support schools with the implementation of
this process.
Posted on this site are a number of resources which schools
may find helpful in their preparations for the revised regulations coming
into force in September 2007.
These are :-
-
Reviewer Handbook – this is
designed to act as a ‘step by step’ guide for colleagues with this
responsibility in schools. It has been scrutinised and added to by
colleagues from ‘Schools’ HR’ as well as from representatives of the
Professional Associations.
-
A model
Planning and
Review Statement which could be used with teacher colleagues.
Model Planning and Review Statements which could be used with teacher
and Head teacher colleagues
-
A
‘Training and Development’ Annex to be attached to the Planning and
Review Statement.
-
A set of slides for use in school, (although there is
another slide show available on the remodelling site) –
www.remodelling.org
(PowerPoint
or PDF)
-
A series of
Performance Management objectives with the relevant success criteria.
(These were produced by colleagues at the Reviewer training sessions.)
Exemplar Performance Management objectives and criteria.
-
Additionally if you access the above remodelling site and
go through the ‘Teacher’ link, you will find a link to Performance
Management and more resources such as a model policy, Professional
Standards for teachers, a series of ‘How to’ sheets, briefing slides for
schools and Governing Bodies.
-
Light Touch Performance Management Questionnaire - to be returned to
Judy Ruff at Prebend House. This will assist the LA in monitoring schools'
organisation and implementation of Performance Management.
