Pupil Achievement Tracker  (PAT)

Until RAISEOnline (replacement for PAT) can offer the Question Level facility and the full data Management utilities, schools will have to use PAT for question level analysis. Any data entered in PAT should be transferable to RAISEonline when it is fully functional.

It is important therefore that your PAT data is backed up regularly, especially after new data has been entered. To perform a backup, in PAT, click Menu >click the Database menu (at the top of the screen) > select Backup database > click OK for the default location > click OK at the finish prompt. The automatic backup created is a folder which is given the current date as the folder name (eg: 20070720) and it will be saved in C:\Program Files\Pupil Achievement Tracker\Backups folder. Rename this backup folder to include PAT at the start of the name (eg: 'PAT20070720') and copy this backup folder to a memory stick for safekeeping.

Download the latest version/upgrade of PAT for Schools (v.4.2.5 available from 01/10/07) from here.
The latest upgrade of PAT will enable schools to import/enter and analyse question level results for KS1, KS2 and KS3 2007 tests.
This upgrade incorporates QCA Y3, 4 and 5 Optional tests QLA made available in the previous release.

The papers are the same as last year, however the grids within the tracker have been amended to match the SAT's analysis grids. The questions that have changed are as follows;
Year 3 Maths A 16 and 27
Year 3 Maths B 11,18, 22 and 26
Year 4 Maths A 7, 12, 19, 22
Year 4 Maths B 2, 5, 20
Years 5 Maths A 5, 14, 26, 27
Years 5 Maths B 17b, 26

All the above questions have two parts and this is now reflected in the tracker. The Y3 Reading test has also been amended as there was an error with Q4 and 5, this has been corrected and they also show the correct marks for each question.
When analysing QLA for Years 3 & 4 optional tests, you will need to download and save the following question papers into your C:\Program Files\Pupil Achievement Tracker\Pdf folder.
Year 3 Reading Test Paper 2007
Year 3 Maths Mental Arithmetic Paper 2007
Year 3 Maths Test 3A paper 2007
Year 3 Maths Test 3B Paper 2007
Year 4 Reading Test Paper 2007
Year 4 Maths Mental Arithmetic Paper 2007
Year 4 Maths Test 4A paper 2007
Year 4 Maths Test 4B Paper 2007

29/8/06 Optional and statutory question papers (covering KS1 for 2004 and 2005; KS2 for 2006 & KS3 for 2006) are now available from here. After installing these files you will be able to click on a question reference within PAT and see the text of the question.
