Pluto class are taught by Miss Burton, Mrs Prodger and Mrs Frankland. The children follow The Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum based on 'Next Steps' and 'Early Learning Goals' which children access both inside and outside. The children engage in a range of activities that are based on first-hand experiences around the six areas of learning. The activities are sometimes teacher led and sometimes self-chosen. "The Foundation Stage Curriculum is very well planned, packed with exciting activities both in the classroom and using the outdoor facilities, so that children enjoy school from the start" (Ofsted 2007). The setting provides quality learning in a safe, secure and fun environment whilst meeting each child's individual needs to prepare each child to become a purposeful, fulfilled member of society in a multicultural and ever chaning world.
