Palm Class - Autumn Term 2001

The children in Palm Class have been doing lots of work this term connected with World War Two and thinking about how children were affected by what was happening around them. As well as collecting interesting resources including ration books and newspaper cuttings the children made their own posters.

The children have worked hard this term in Literacy using verbs. They also painted their suggestions and then added some ICT Word Art work to their ideas.

The children also focussed on silence and quietness and wrote some wonderful poems.

It was so quiet that I heard,
The trees rustling in the wind.
It was so quiet that I heard,
The sea gull gliding in the sky.
It was so quiet that I heard,
An owl hooting in the darkness.
It was so quiet that I heard,
A dog barking.
It was so quiet tha I heard,
The stars twinkling.
