Bedfordshire Schools
Streaming Media

Education ICT Services has been involved in streaming media in the UK since its mainstream inception back in 1997. We have huge expertise in the streaming media, in terms of content creation, pedagogic use and optimised delivery in schools. We have been the streaming media and streaming broadcasting host provider for the East of England Broadband Consortium (E2BN) for several years now and we have imminent plans to make available an end to end streaming media infrastructure solution for all schools in Bedfordshire. The notion of broadcasting around schools, whether it be prepared lessons, live radio style broadcasting, live TV style broadcasting or externally available curriculum content will soon be a reality. This core solution is provided free to schools from broadband funds. There is a nominal implementation fee of £225 or £275 for schools wishing us to commission the system in their school. We can provide advice, equipment, event management and consultation on request to help leverage the opportunities that streaming media creates and our infrastructure enables.
